We did not expect to see the Cherry Blossoms this year. We had just been to DC about two weeks before the blooms had begun to open and a return trip didn't seem likely. We had talked about going back but started looking at prices and decided it was cost prohibited.
Then our friends called and asked ...are you coming up? We would never have asked, we had just spent the weekend with them...isn't there a saying about company that stays to long...or comes back too often?
They assured us it was fine...so we decided to go. We really are trying to be more mindful of opportunities as they become available...especially when it involves relationships. You just never know....none of us do. I still miss opportunities... should have done... could have said... but the Lord gives much grace and each day is filled with new opportunities.
So we got to see the Cherry Blossoms, but more importantly we were able to spend some time with friends.... and lest I forget, there was this young man who decided to join us for dinner and a rousing game of domino's afterwards
Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassion's never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness Lamentations 3:22-23

Beautiful! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Yes, there is a saying in Proverbs 25:17, but I don't think it has anything to do with fostering relationships, or embracing God's blessings of joy, fellowship, love, and comfort, which are all wonderful gifts. So glad you were able to spend time with friends. xoxo
So glad you got to be with friends. You are right. Take every opportunity you get. I am finding that life is too short and you just never know.
Blessings to you...Chelle
Ohhhh...I *love* cherry blossoms!!! We planted a flowering cherry a few years ago and it's a favourite. :) So glad you had a chance for a little getaway Maryann.
Blessings,
Camille
Beautiful! Oh how I wish I were in DC right now! I know the blossoms are gone, but my daughter is still there.
We have cherry & plum trees throughout the Pacific NW that are equally spectacular right now. Soon they'll be joined by rhododendrons and azaleas.
Thank you for sharing your opportunity with us. Looks like you enjoyed the very best of it!
