I have always been a little sad to see summer end, it's kind of a laid back time of year for us. We spend more time outside, routines are a little loose, meals much more casual. I have to admit some evenings, dinner would be just a sandwich out on the deck..loaded with fresh tomatoes. I am going to miss that.
Our schedules will change a little bit this fall. Care groups will begin to meet regularly again, classes will start at church, grandchildren will have activities for us to attend. A little busier but not too bad. Looking forward to some cooler weather and to some fall color.
It was last September that I stopped working outside the home...I can't believe it's been a year. An easier adjustment than I had anticipated, I guess it was time... I have no plans to look for employment but I will keep my license current and see where the Lord leads...right now it seems to be home, I have enjoyed every minute of it....really.
So a little sorry to see summer go but looking forward to the fall. Trying to remember all the things I like about this season...I will adjust

What a lovely photo of the bridge my friend...is it near your home?? And, yes...the seasons do bring change...it's a good thing, really. I remember when work ended for you last year...where does the time go?? May the LORD bless you and your family this fall Maryann. Love, Camille
That bridge is so pretty.
I am looking forward to cooling temps, but may not get them until sometime in October.
God's continued blessings and leading for you and your family.

Good morning! Beautiful picture! I know how you feel. While it is STILL nice and hot here in California, the days are getting shorter and the grands have all returned to school. Fall is just around the corner. And while I can't wait for cooler temps, and fires and cozy sweaters, I will miss the LONG carefree days of summer. Enjoy these last few days my friend!
I thought of you recently while I was still adjusting. So glad you feel you have started to adjust...enjoy! I think I might adjust also.
Yes fall...so much happens in the fall. Enjoy as you close the door to summer.
