- For friends who were willing to brave the traffic to spend the holiday weekend with us
- For time spent with youngest son who was also willing to drive through terrible traffic to get home for the holiday
- For everyone that helped prepare the meal. It was all hands on deck Wednesday night, someone was either prepping food, cooking or doing dishes.
- For the provision that God has supplied through the year
- For a sleepover with all four grandchildren...all slept soundly through the night
- For our pastors who continue to faithfully preach the gospel every week
- For my husband, who is a major source of support as I continue to walk through various health related issues....I get weary, I know he must as well
- For friends who are willing to walk along side when life gets difficult
- For technology, I love face time, texting and emailing. I know it's not as personal as a hand written letters or in person visits but I have extended family that I probably would not be able to communicate with if these were not available....phones would be included in this list
- God's never ending mercies, which scripture says are new every morning.
The title of this blog comes from one of my favorite hymns."It is Well With My Soul" When peace like a river attendeth my way When sorrows like sea billows roll, Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say It is well, it is well, with my soul

Loved this post, and your list. Sounds like everything was wonderful for your holiday, and I am glad. Enjoy your week!
What a great list of things to be thankful for!
Amen and Amen. I am thankful for so many of the things on your list. I have been thinking a lot about the gift of technology lately and the blessing it brings us (when used correctly... I'm TRYING to do that.)
I thank God for the intellect He gave to others. I'm the recipient of that fruit.
I'm so glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
What a wonderful list...may we all continue in a state of thanksgiving.
Have a wonderful week..I can just imagine the sleep over with the grands...oh precious
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your list! Amen and amen!
Where was that picture taken? The one at the top of this post. So peaceful and serene! I just LOVE the beach!
Oh I have loved this post! Thank you for sharing! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
What a lovely list of blessings!
I have meandered through your recent posts tonight and have discovered someone who loves Thanksgiving as I do...it's my favorite holiday too. I like what you said about keeping the focus on the offering of thanks...not on the food or the guests or the traditions. Sometimes it is easy to lose our focus.
(Thank you for visiting Thinking About Home and leaving your kind words.)
Beautiful list Maryann! What a blessing to have family surrounding you and a supportive husband standing with you through your health challenges. God is Good. May HE continue to bless you abundantly!
In HIS Love,
Camille
