Joy In All Things

"Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass it's about learning to dance in the rain"

I love this quote, came across it last year and I thought it was perfect way of looking at this"season" in my life, a "season" of rain...and what "seems" like a "season" of endless waiting

When think of dancing I think "joy"....for the record I am still learning to "dance in the rain" Learning to be joyful despite my circumstances...because our joy can't be tied to our circumstances...instead it has to be tied to our hope. What is my hope...that I have a loving Father who has all the circumstances in my life under his control...that he is faithful...unchangable...and can be trusted.

Found this little treasure at the thrift store the other day for $1.98...how appropriate, it will soon be hanging in my kitchen

Maybe I can borrow Little Miss's boots and Tutu

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you 1 Thessalonians 5:16

I am still learning to "dance in the rain" too.

My heart is always warmed when I visit with you and read your posts! Thank you much, for sharing on Think on These Things!

Amen to this post, and I think the thrift find was a God wink in your direction. He sees His daughters trying to learn the rain dance, and his heart is tendered toward us, no matter how awkward our movements as we try to learn.

Standing with you in the rain. Toes pointed out...First position...

Thank you for the post...I needed it...and yes, joy isn't to be connected to our circumstances.

Lifting you in prayer before I leave your blog

Oh I love that saying as well. Have you read the book 1000 gifts? If not...you need to get it. I am reading it now and when I started it over the weekend I thought about you and your posts! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Your words speak such biblical truth, reminding me that the joy in my heart isn't about the circumstances in my life, and I am so thankful for the Father's control of my life ~ in this I rest even in the storms.

Your words are an encouragement! I pray that our Lord will fill you with joy abundant, so you can dance in the rain or anywhere. Blessings!

We could take notes from a child--wear a tutu in the rain and always remember we are a princess of the King! My sister and I are speaking at a conference where the theme is "The Things that Matter." Our topic is "Choosing Joy Really Does Matter." It's a choice we make daily.

This is so true. I love the saying on your new treasure. I think you would look fabulous in the boots and tutu... and with that bright umbrella? Dance I say!

Blessings, Debbie

Oh, yes, I am learning this "rain dancing," too. It isn't easy, but it is worth it.
