Spring Has Sprung

I think I started to notice things change when we moved the time ahead. That extra hour of daylight seemed to lift my spirits....then the flowers started blooming. Oh my, that really did it. Even though our temperatures are still fairly cool, it feels like winter is over....Spring has sprung and here's the proof.

My DIL says that one the stores in her town is celebrating spring by taking the chains off the tires of their cart returns...it's not flowers but an encouraging sign none the less. (photo courtesy of my DIL)

Happy Spring, dear Maryann! We are enjoying warmer days here in the mountains and the grass is beginning to turn green.

May you have a blessed Sunday! Hugs!

Hurray for you!

Even though we have green and colors year round, there are still certain flowers and trees that bloom at this time of year that let us know it is spring time.

Enjoy the loveliness of spring ~ FlowerLady

Trees are budding, a neighbor's witch hazel is in bloom, and birds are singing.

There are not a lot of signs in California as it is always so warm, but I have noticed a few things....the birds are singing their little hearts out (how I LOVE that sound!) and lots of things are in bloom and with the extra day light hours the sounds of kids playing outside after dinner can be heard too. Yesterday was a gorgeous day! Just beautiful...hoping we have many more of those before the heat sets in...Enjoy your day!

Our little daffodils are peeking their heads out but the rain just will not stop. We need sunshine so desperately! Think it's suppose to come out tomorrow. Hope! Hope!

I, too, have been enjoying the longer period of daylight. Buds on the trees, chives in the herb garden...I am still waiting for that first daffodil to open and for a first hint of a tiny yellow bloom on the forsythia.

The trees and bushes are budding, and I am enjoying the amazing amount of flowers here in Florida… all coming to life. I do love Spring. The tire/chain picture was a crack up… we look for every sign of Spring don't we? I do relate. Have a great week.
