Unexpected Quiet

I didn't intend to be absent from this little space for such a long time, it just sort of happened.

Lots of little events kept me away, there were emotions that I had a hard time articulating,  so I just kept quiet. Time passed and soon I realized that almost a month had gone by since I had really put any thoughts to words.

One constant theme the Lord seems to be driving home to me is that this life is temporary and subject to change. Invest in things eternal, keep your focus on eternity. Trust in the Lord in all things.

There have been some good things happening here in addition to the more difficult. My sister is coming for a visit in a couple of days. I am so excited, it's been way too many years since she has been here. Another nice thing that was totally out of the blue was getting an offer to work as a companion for a little lady for a couple of weeks, and of course, my grands will be here soon.

We have been enjoying getting outside more and made a trip to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms....I've even been behind getting photos up.

Anyway that's a bit of what has been going on here. I'm still having a hard time putting into words what's been going on in my heart, but rest assured the Lord is at work.

It is in the quiet times that God speaks to our hearts.

Good morning! It was good to catch up with you if even just a little bit. Yes, one thing we can always count on...nothing ever stays the same besides the fact the God is always on His throne and He is firmly in control. Comforts me so. Your sister coming is very exciting. I am blessed with 3 of them and they live close enough to get together often and yet me always don't. Nothing like a sister. And the grands are coming soon!! Boy do I ever know that excited feeling. Enjoy the rest of your week!

I think I understand how you are feeling; I feel it as well. I have also been finding it difficult to blog, just wrestling to put my thoughts and feeling into words. I think it is also the days that we are living in.. and I do believe the Lord gives us seasons that we can draw back into His presence and listen to him. I love your picture Have fun with your sister.
Blessings,
Pam

You know I understand the need for quiet...right? Take the time you need. And, know that the Lord is faithful and will see you through to the other side. How precious it is to read the thoughts of your heart about eternal things as opposed to the temporal. How true it is!! What a wonderful Hope we have because of our Saviour!! Have a lovely visit with your sister and the grands...SO happy for you. Hugs and with love, Camille

It sounds as if you are continuing to see His gifts. I know that you are excited about the grands coming for an "in person" visit! I can imagine the hugs and the fun in store! And a visit from your sister (love sister time!) and the opportunity to be a care giver...all good things.

Quiet is good too. Sometimes, it is the right thing. Seasons come and seasons go...
