Yard Sale

It's Friday night and the plan is for us to have a yard sale tomorrow morning. We were going to have it last weekend but the rain spared us from having to follow through with that plan. You don't know how happy I was to see that weather prediction last Friday night

I have spent weeks cleaning out closets and gathering items together. My sweet husband has carted said items downstairs in boxes and baskets and has made the some signs to put at the end of the street. The timing is perfect, our neighborhood is having a Community Yard Sale and the weather is predicted to be beautiful....warm and sunny, no excuses this weekend, but....

The last thing I want to do is have a yard sale, and apparently my husband was having the same thoughts. After he brought the last of the boxes down, he asked,  "Can't we just give this stuff away?"

Works for me....maybe we can put all of it out on the lawn with a big sign that says..."Free Stuff".
No, we will be out there, peddling our wares and who knows, it might even be fun.

I wish you well. It's easier and more fun to just give stuff away. But you can have fun at yard sales too and will meet interesting people. Make a little $$ and be rid of some stuff, then give the rest away.

Glad you are having beautiful weather.

Good luck with the yard sale. I've vowed never to do another, but whenever DD wanted to do one, I'd always help her out. Thankfully she's discovered a swap-sell group on Facebook and sold a lot of her excess stuff that way. Whew! Me? I just take my excess stuff to Goodwill. ;-)

I said after my last yard sale that I would never do it again. It has been three years, and I'm starting to feel a little tempted. I hope yours went well!

Oh, a yard sale is a lot of hard work but I hope yours was successful! We will likely have an estate sale when we move into our new house and have someone else handle it for us. Have a great new week!
