This guy is pretty territorial, he sits on a branch in view of the feeders and chases any other interested hummingbirds away...we have other feeders scattered around the yard but he seems to think they all belong to him. We are thinking of putting a few more feeders out a greater distance apart to give the others a chance to feed.
We pass a lot of time each summer watching these guys...fascinates the grandkids...have to admit I'm a little fascinated myself. A much needed bright spot, thankful for this little blessing today.

We are so enjoying ours...it is like a kiss from God just watching in wonder of his creation.
I too need to bright spot right now and I know God is allowing me to enjoy this simple little bird.
I enjoy the hummingbirds so much. They are just so tiny, and lovely! One of my most precious God moments involves His provision of a hummingbird at a very special moment for an amazing amount of time. My husband and I were mesmerized, tears stopped and we were flooded with joy at a time of deep sorrow.
Blessings, Debbie
I'd love to have hummingbirds right outside our window. I know the children would get such delight from them, and I would to. :)
